BWT supports the NSPCC in their fight for every childhood

At the heart of every decision made at BWT, they have one aim in mind: to help others. Whether that is through their products and services or through partnerships with various charity organisations. BWT UK are an organisation that wants to help you, your family and the planet.

With this commitment in mind, BWT UK is proud to announce that they will be supporting the NSPCC.

In their fight for every childhood, the NSPCC works to protect children and prevent abuse so they can make child abuse a thing of the past. They are the only UK children's charity with statutory powers and that means they can take action to safeguard children at risk of abuse.

BWT has always maintained that the most important resource in the world is water. Water is key to our daily lives and helps our mind and bodies stay healthy. The NSPCC recognise this and are delighted that BWT UK has decided to donate 100 Magnesium Mineralized Filter Jugs to them. Lloyd Butcher, the Corporate Partnerships Manager at NSPCC, had this to say:

“We would like to thank Best Water Technology for kindly donating water jugs to our service centres across the UK. They will be put to good use in our counselling rooms when a child or parent could be having sensitive conversations with our practitioners.”

BWT UK has previously worked with the NSPCC through the distribution of BWT Water Coolers to NSPCC service centres across the country. Understanding the needs of a customer is integral to every partnership BWT has with an organisation or charity. BWT does their best to help where and when they can. Working with a charity like the NSPCC and supporting them on their incredible journey to save and rebuild the lives of children is a humbling opportunity for BWT UK.

Jon Wicks, the Managing Director at BWT UK and Chairman of the British Water Cooler Association, has always been a keen supporter of raising awareness for issues that are important to us all.

“We are incredibly proud to be supporting an organisation like the NSPCC. Not only are they continuously working hard to change lives but you can see the impact their work has and how they are making a real difference in the world. We hope our small contribution will support and help make a difference to a child’s life.”

NSPCC are the leading children's charity in the UK, specialising in child protection and dedicated to the fight for every childhood. We're the only UK children's charity with statutory powers and that means we can take action to safeguard children at risk of abuse.

It means that each of us has a responsibility to keep childhood free from abuse, and we must do everything possible to protect children and prevent it from happening.

So if a law needs to change, or if more needs to be done to protect children, we demand it. The fact that we are independent – relying on the public to fund our work – means we can push for change when others cannot. For more information or make a donation, please visit: www.nspcc.org.uk

Close the Loophole

This campaign is aiming to close a loophole in the law which makes it legal for any adult who holds a position of power to engage in sexual activity with 16 or 17 year-olds in their care. Teachers are covered by the Positions of Trust law but many other professions are not. The NSPCC are calling for the law to be extended to include any adult who holds a position of power over 16 or 17-year-olds.
