We can celebrate the half term together!


May Half-Term is upon us and what better way to stay relaxed and refreshed then with family and friends and maybe a cheeky glass of Magnesium Mineralized Water? British weather is not reliable (sunshine, where art thou?) but you can count on BWT to guide you through, what promises to be an exciting break. From enjoying a family BBQ to spending the day with a good book and some wine, there is something for everyone! Read more below to find out how you can stay relaxed and refreshed this May Bank Holiday and Half Term.

 

Monday (May Bank Holiday): BBQ Time!


May Half Term BBQ Time!


It is the May Bank Holiday and hurrah everyone is off (almost - a quick shout out to all those braving work today, you are all awesome)! Time to bring out the grill; gather your friends and family around for some BBQ fun. Do not let the rain ruin your fun – plan ahead and keep an eye on that weather. Ideal for a large group, enjoy sharing stories with one another whilst your favourite foods sizzle on the grill. Add to the fun with your favourite drinks and why not try one of our refreshing infused drinks, below? Perfect for keeping those energy levels high during your BBQ!


Lemon Thyme Water

Magnesium Mineralized Infused Water with Lemon & Thyme


      - 2 small lemons

      - 2 stems of lemon balm
      - 5 stems of lemon thyme
      - 1.5 litres of Magnesium Mineralized Water from your       BWT Water Filter Jug


Squeeze the juice out of one lemon, cut the second lemon into very thin slices. Wash the lemon balm and lemon thyme and bind them together with a string. Put all the ingredients into a carafe and fill up with filtered water. Leave it to steep for 10 minutes.


Raspberry Aniseed Water

Magnesium Mineralized Infused Water with Raspberry & Aniseed


      - 2 small lemons

      - 1 handful of raspberries 

      - 2 sprigs of rosemary
      - 1 stem of lemon balm
      - 1 teaspoon of aniseed
      - 1.5 litres of Magnesium Mineralized Water from your BWT Water Filter Jug


Sort through the raspberries and wash them off. Wash the rosemary and the lemon balm and bind them together with a string. Put the aniseed and the raspberries in a water jar and fill up with BWT filtered water. Add the herb bouquet and put it into the fridge for 30 minutes.

 

Tuesday is for Gardening!


May Half Term Gardening Time


This one is for the kids! You do not have to be an expert to enjoy a bit of gardening. Did you know throughout this week, families are celebrating gardening across the UK? From watering the plants to picking out your favourite vegetables, participating is half the fun! Do not miss out and get your little ones involved, the more the merrier. Wednesday is for Sharing Recipes


As we head into the middle of the week, (time is flying by!), distract yourself with the delicious fruity recipes below. With Magnesium Mineralized Water, the recipes are guaranteed to make your mouth water. Refreshing after a long day, the whole family will enjoy them!


Mango and Orange Smoothie

Magnesium Mineralized Water Smoothies


      - 1 mango

      - 1 banana 

      - 3 oranges
      - 75g yoghurt
      - 100ml Magnesium Mineralized Water from your BWT       Water Filter Jug


Squeeze the oranges. Peel the mango and banana & cut into large cubes. Put all ingredients into a mixer or puree using a hand blender. Pour into a glass and enjoy.


Watermelon and Peppermint Ice Lollies

Magnesium Mineralized Water Watermelon and Peppermint Ice Lollies


      - 300g watermelon, peeled, chopped and pureed

      - 1 handful peppermint leaves 

      - Juice of half a lemon
      - 1 tsp of honey or agave syrup
      - 4 wooden lolly sticks
      - 500ml Magnesium Mineralized Water from your BWT Water Filter Jug


Boil the Magnesium Mineralized Water and add the peppermint leaves. Stir and leave for 10 minutes to infuse. Stir in the watermelon, lemon juice & honey or agave syrup. Pour into yoghurt pots or lolly moulds and insert the lolly sticks. Put in the freezer until solid then serve and enjoy.

 

On Thursday We Drink Wine


May Half Term We drink Wine and Water



The end of the week is in sight (sigh). If you are a parent, there is no doubt the Half Term will be exhausting with the kids around and the sunshine keeping their energy levels up. However, remember to take some time out for yourself in the day. Maybe watch a movie or have a quiet night in with your favourite book and a glass of wine? BWT Tip: Just add some Magnesium Mineralized Water to your favourite wine and feel your taste buds awaken. What better way is there to unwind during an energetic week?

Whether you enjoy sports or not – seeing an English team in a Football final is something to cheer about! This is the first time in history where four teams from the same country will be in the Champions and Europa League Finals. Grab your friends, gather around the television with your family and enjoy what promises to be an exciting weekend for Football. May the best team win!
