Easy Irish Coffee recipe

INGREDIENTS


  • 200 ml hot (approx. 85°C) Magnesium Mineralized Water
  • 16.5g coarsely ground coffee
  • 20 ml Irish whiskey
  • 2 tbsp. muscovado sugar*
  • 50 ml whipping cream
  • * Quantity varies, depending on the size of the espresso pot.


PREPARATION


Let the water filter through the BWT Magnesium Mineralizer and then boil it. Fill the Aero Press with approx. 16.5g of freshly ground coffee and 200 ml of Magnesium Mineralized Water (approx. 85°C) and press through the filter in accordance with the instructions. To prepare the dark muscovado sugar syrup, heat 2 tbsp. of muscovado sugar and 2 tbsp. of magnesium -mineralized water together and stir vigorously until the sugar has melted. Prepare the creamer with 50 ml of fresh cream and an ice cube in a shaker. Shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds until the shaker is cold. Leave to rest for a further 30 seconds. Stir to disperse the bubbles. The result is a creamy fluid for the topping. Pre-heat the glass using hot water. Place 10 ml of the sugar syrup and 20 ml of Irish whiskey into a glass and then add hot filter coffee. Using a spoon, slowly add the creamer to the surface of the mixture.
